Cacao Ceremony with Mayan Spiritual Leader Nana Marina Cruz

Cacao is much more than just chocolate. It is known by the Mayans and other indigenous communities as the Food of the Gods. It’s called a Heart Opener because it’s promotes healthy blood flow and a sense of happiness and well-being.

Nana Marina Cruz is an Ajq'ij, a Mayan Spiritual Guide of the Tz'utujil community from San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemaya. She's the daughter of the late Tata Pedro Cruz, who preserved the Mayan traditions for decades, even under direct persecution. Nana Marina has continued to practice and share these traditions and support her family and community with her travels and teaching.

Join us for this special ceremony Wenesday October 2ndth at 7pm at Kollectiv at the East Village to connect with the elements of nature in community.

October 2nd is also the New Moon and the annual Solar Eclipse.

Proceeds directly to support the Tz'utujil Mayan community in Guatemala.
